Police say the suspect stabbed the 33-year-old man in the shoulder with a screwdriver before fleeing the scene.

The victim suffered a puncture wound.

Eyewitness News spoke with the victim about the attack. He is now back at work but did not want to be identified.

"He didn't say anything," the worker told Eyewitness News reporter Kristin Thorne in Spanish. "He just attacked me and ran away. I don't know why. I don't know him. I don't know anything about him."

The worker went to the hospital after the attack.

He showed Eyewitness News a small bandage on his upper right shoulder. He said he is feeling better now.

The worker said he, like many other people in New York City, is scared for his safety now. He said he's going to be more alert.
