Three-year-old Jayden Jordan remains in critical condition at Coney Island hospital with injuries he got in his family's home in Gravesend, Brooklyn, according to the New York City Police Department.

Police said Jayden's mother called 911 for help Monday afternoon. Lucchesse is her boyfriend.

The toddler was in cardiac arrest. Doctors at Coney Island Hospital found he had injuries to his head, spleen and liver.

Lucchesse told detectives the boy had an accident and he was giving him a shower, when the child fell and hit his head.

Neighbors said Tuesday that it doesn't make sense how Jayden ended up in the hospital. They said his mother and grandmother took very good care of him.

Other neighbors said they heard a commotion before the sound of sirens.

One said she saw a man carry a child to an ambulance, and that the boy's body was lifeless. She said she was stunned to see the man was not panicked.

The New York City Administration for Children's Services is investigating.
