Police say they're also concerned that this trend could lead to dangerous confrontations between the homeowners and the burglars.
Officials are warning residents to lock their cars at all times and call police if they see anything suspicious.
Authorities have put out a few tips for homeowners:
- Don't confront the burglar and don't block their exit
- Always keep your cell phone nearby
-Immediately report the burglary

- Keep any high-end vehicles out of sight and make sure to always keep them locked
All three of the vehicles that were taken were recovered in Elizabeth, New Jersey. They were stripped of tracking devices but a stolen Porsche had an app that led police to the locations of all three vehicles.
