An attorney for the Williams family says they made repeated complaints about the broken window in their children's bedroom, and begged the building to install required window guards.

Lareece Williams, Jr., 2, managed to wedge himself out of the window, falling six stories to his death.
The incident happened at the Linden Plaza apartments on Eldert Lane in East New York just after 11 a.m. Monday.
His cause of death was determined to be blunt trauma of the head and torso and was ruled an accident.

The child's family said building management didn't fix the window after their first complaint in January about a broken window and lack of window guards.
"This is a hard hard pill to swallow, I don't want this to happen to anybody," his mother Juanita Williams said.
Window guards are required by state law. The Williamses say the day after Lareece died, the work was done.
"If y'all did what you were supposed to do, all this could've been avoided my son would be still breathing," Lareece Williams, Sr. said.
