It happened at the Grace Funeral Chapel on North Conduit Boulevard in Cypress Hills just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say 40-year-old Tyrone Johnson was hit several times in his torso. Detectives believe he may have been targeted as he walked out of his aunt's wake.
Johnson was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.
The second shot man, a 41-year-old, arrived at Interfaith Medical Center. He was shot in the right wrist.
He told detectives he was also shot outside the funeral home and he didn't know anything about the shooting.
The gunman ran away from the scene.
There is no word on a motive and so far, no arrests.
