MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) -- Massapequa Coast's Little League World Series dream is over after a 7-1 loss to Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, Monday.

The kids from Long Island took an early 1-0 lead, but a three-run homer from Chase Link in the third inning put Pennsylvania up for good.

The game began Monday morning after the originally scheduled game on Sunday was postponed for rain.

Mother Nature continued to factor into Monday's game, with a one-hour, 12-minute rain delay in the fourth inning.

Hollidaysburg came out of the delay with a two-run single and a two-run double to expand the lead.

Massapequa Coast lost to Honolulu 12-0 Friday night for the team's first loss in the double-elimination tournament.

Still, Massapequa Coast is the first team from Long Island to make it this far in decades, besting Toms River East 4-0 behind a Joey Lionetti no-hitter to win the Metro Region and advance to the storied tournament.
