The crash killed at least three people and injured 16 others. It happened at about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Northern Boulevard in Flushing.

Authorities are looking into reports that the driver of the charter bus had run a red light before the crash.
The force of the collision sent the charter bus onto the sidewalk and into a Kennedy Fried Chicken, sparking a small fire. The flames were quickly extinguished, but there is extensive damage to the structure.
