Fisherman discovers body wrapped in plastic in Hackensack River

SECAUCUS, New Jersey (WABC) -- A fisherman discovered a body wrapped in plastic in the Hackensack River on Saturday.

The Secaucus police chief says dive teams from Lyndhurst and Wallington fire departments recovered the body of the man from underneath the eastern spur of the New Jersey Turnpike.

The identity of the man and his cause of death are both unknown.



The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.
