The scene unfolded Sunday around 12:45 p.m. about half a mile onto the bridge from the Queens side.

Police said a trooper was struck by a vehicle during the incident, suffered minor injuries, and was taken to the Elmhurst Hospital.
The driver was not able to make it past Harlem. Authorities stopped a grey Acura at 140th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard.

The MTA reports their officers arrested a 21-year-old driver and several blocks away, nabbed the 17-year-old passenger.
Two Manhattan/Bronx-bound lanes and the left Queens-bound lane were closed for the rest of the day Sunday as the investigation continued.
