Police say Moore crashed a stolen car around 9 a.m., hitting a pedestrian in the process.

Moore is then accused of assaulting another pedestrian and sneaking it into the home where he attacked a tenant. Police say he was brandishing a knife.

At one point, officers ushered neighbors out of harm's way, including two women holding small children.

Police say the car involved in the accident was stolen in West Orange.
