Police say a 34-year-old was sitting inside his BMW with a 33-year-old man standing on the street when they were approached by three individuals just before 5 a.m. Monday on Dyckman Street in Inwood.

The suspects, all males, displayed handguns and demanded their property.

The first individual shot the 34-year-old man in the head as he tried to drive away.
The BMW crashed into the side of 175 Dyckman Street, where it came to a stop.
The gunman then removed his watch, ring and a $3,000 chain from his neck.
He was identified as Milton Grant, of Queens, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the other two individuals forcibly removed the 33-year-old victim's chain from his neck and then shot him in the groin as he ran from the scene.

The three suspects then fled in a gray four-door Honda Accord that was driven by a fourth individual.

They fled the scene northbound on Vermilyea Avenue.
EMS transported the 33-year-old victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

It was just one of at least 10 shootings between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:40 a.m. Monday, another one of them deadly as well.
