Police said around 4:20 a.m., the pedestrians were crossing the street near the intersection of Northern Boulevard and 86th Street in Jackson Heights when a red BMW plowed into them before it crashed into a utility pole.

The three victims, all of them men aged 25, 28, and 32, were taken to Elmhurst Hospital where they were all listed in critical condition.
An eyewitness said he saw police take the driver into custody.
Police said the 23-year-old driver is expected to be charged with driving while intoxicated.
