Police questioning child after teen fatally shot at Brownsville, Brooklyn NYCHA complex

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are questioning a child after a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed at a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn.

Investigators say the boy was shot in the chest around 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Houses on Osborn Street in Brownsville.

First responders rushed him to Brookdale Hospital where he died. Police recovered a gun at the scene.

A police source says the juvenile in custody is a family member of the victim.



The investigation is ongoing.
