Delta flight forced to return to gate at LaGuardia Airport after de-icing fluid gets on passenger

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- De-icing fluid leaked into the fuselage of a Delta Air Lines flight, and got on a passenger, forcing the plane to return to the gate at LaGuardia Airport over the weekend.

The incident occurred on Sunday, on a plane headed to Jacksonville, Florida.

Delta Air Lines says the liquid was not hazardous.

The crew decided to return to the gate so the aircraft could be evaluated.

Delta moved its passengers to another aircraft to their destination.
