Former NYC Mayor Eric Adams curses at fellow plane passenger in ugly confrontation

DALLAS, Texas (WABC) -- An ugly confrontation between former New York City mayor Eric Adams and a fellow airline passenger was caught on camera as they disembarked from a plane in Dallas, Texas on Monday.

The witness who took the video claims that just before they started recording, the former mayor threatened to punch the woman in her face because she had booed him.

"Eric Adams, please punch me in the face. I would love it if you punched me in the face," the woman is heard saying on the video.

"I'm not mayor anymore, go f*** yourself," Adams says.

The two then exchanged further expletives as they continued down the jet bridge.

Adams later reposted an online article about the incident with a headline referencing something he said about being from Brooklyn to social media, and just one word, "Exactly."

It's been a torrid week for Adams.

On Monday he introduced the NYC Token cryptocurrency coin.

According to Bloomberg, the value of the token soared to 58 cents before crashing to under 10 cents.

This sparked questions from crypto investors who compared it to having the rug pulled from under them.

The people behind NYC token posted a statement on X acknowledging the concerns, saying it had to "rebalance the liquidity" of the token because of the overwhelming demand.

Adams, who dropped out of the election for New York City mayor, was replaced at the start of this year by Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old democratic socialist.
