The program is celebrating its third anniversary, which will feature a record number of 147 car-free locations across the five boroughs for Halloween -- making trick-or-treating and other activities safer for children and their families.
New Yorkers can look forward to Trick or Streets events in every borough.
At Trick or Streets locations, New Yorkers can expect festive programming, performances, arts and crafts, fitness classes, giveaways, and more.
"With more children expected out on our streets for Halloween, Trick-or-Streets provides a safe way for families to enjoy the holiday and connect with their neighbors," said NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. "Trick-or-Streets is just one example of the ways we're reimagining our streets for people through our Open Streets program."
Events are also planned into November to celebrate the Mexican holiday of Día De Los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead."
