NEW YORK (WABC) -- One singing Knicks superfan was just having fun recapping games to the tunes of Billy Joel - but now his Piano Man parodies have gone viral.

Luke Wenner used "New York State of Mind" to recap game 3 when the Knicks beat the Cavs.

The 21-year-old has entered the conversation and is rewriting lyrics from some of Joel's greatest works to reflect the Knicks' winning streak.

On social media, his performances are getting hundreds of thousands of views and counting.

"Before it started I had like 70 followers, just like friends and family, after that it was inane," Wenner said.

Combine his love of Billy Joel and all New York sports teams and the rest is history.

He sat down and put the pen to paper after the Knicks swept Philly.

"I'm just thinking of the players' names, keeping track of who's maybe having a game," he explained.

What's next for the recent college grad? He gave us a hint...a song based on Joel's "The Longest Time."

"I actually have one that I'm going to release tonight as a precursor to the finals," he said.

Wenner isn't letting any of this go to his head but he's aware the pressure is now on for his next release. His prediction? Knicks take the series 4 to 2.
