Man convicted in killings of 4 homeless men in Chinatown set for sentencing

Updated 2 hours ago
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man convicted in the brutal murders of four homeless men on the streets of Chinatown is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday.

Randy Santos was convicted by a jury in February of beating the four men as they slept during a 2019 rampage.

He's accused of attacking his victims at random with a 15-pound metal pipe.

Santos' lawyers argued that he suffers from schizophrenia and is too mentally ill to be held criminally responsible.

He faces a possible sentence of life in prison.
