It happened Friday just after 8 p.m. on a No. 2 train. The MTA says two men got into a fight on the train, and one man punched the other.
The man who was punched then slashed the other man. He was taken to the hospital.
A box cutter was recovered on the train.
Both men are under arrest.
An investigation is ongoing.
