Police say Odyssey Head, 27, broke into a building on New York Avenue around 5 a.m. Saturday, damaging the washer and dryer and setting fire to some items of clothing before running off.
Authorities say he is suspected in three slashings over 24 hours in Flatbush, although he has not been charged yet.
Officials say he had a kitchen knife in his possession at the time of his arrest, which is believed to be the slashing weapon.
All three men injured over the weekend were slashed on the left side of their faces.
The first attack occurred Saturday morning on a Q train. Another attack happened Saturday night just before 10 p.m. on Foster Avenue and New York Avenue in East Flatbush.
The third attack happened Sunday just before 7 a.m. on Newkirk Avenue in East Flatbush.
The victims' ages are 37, 53 and 56. They were all taken to the hospital and were said to be stable.
