HACKENSACK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A New Jersey man is facing charges after his truck plowed through the wall of a McDonald's.

It happened at the restaurant in Hackensack on River Road just after 3:30 a.m.

The truck slammed through the wall of the drive-thru lane.

Officials say an employee at the store was also hurt after a Dodge Ram 1500 crashed into the building.

The 38-year-old driver, from Teaneck, was charged with driving while intoxicated and assault by auto in the fourth degree.

The driver was released on a summons to a responsible party.

The vehicle was removed and the restaurant will be closed until the structure stability is evaluated.
