The Department of Parks and Recreation is opening outdoor pools across all five boroughs on Saturday. Mayor Zohran Mamdani helped open the Thomas Jefferson Pool in East Harlem by jumping in with a full suit on.
Mayor Mamdani kicks off NYC pool season with suited jump
This summer, outdoor pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for general swim, with a break from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for pool cleaning.
The pools will stay open through Sept. 13.
