NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- New Yorkers can now cast a vote for their favorite catchy theme song for Mayor Zohran Mamdani's 2-K program.

Music lovers can visit nyc.gov/jingle to help choose a winner.

Bronx-born rapper Cardi B and Washington Heights native Lin-Manuel Miranda listened to over 300 jingles, narrowing down the contestants to five finalists: Gerald, Allegra, John, Amanda and Miyuki.

The contest highlights New York City's new 2-K program, which opens June 2.

NYC's new 2-K program aims to provide free, accessible, high-quality childcare for parents.

The program will launch with 2,000 free seats this fall. Mamdani's administration plans to expand the program to universal access within four years.

Families in districts 6, 10, 18, 23 and 27 will be able to apply for 2-K, beginning June 2. Applications can be submitted through MySchools, by calling 718-935-2009, or by visiting one of the City's Family Welcome Centers.

As for the jingle, voting continues through 10 p.m. on June 3.
