The beloved commuter restaurant, long located in and around New York Penn Station, has now opened its second location on the Grand Central concourse, near the LIRR ticket window.
MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber and others made the announcement at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Grand Central Madison.
"Tracks is the first step towards filling the terminal with a full range of retail and food options to go along with the most reliable service in the railroad's long history," Lieber said.
Tracks was a long-time establishment inside Penn Station with a railroad theme, featuring murals and vintage photographs that detailed the history of the LIRR.
The restaurant relocated to 31st Street in 2019 when the MTA rebuilt the LIRR's concourse at Penn Station.
It is preparing to reopen inside Penn Station while maintaining the 31st Street location.
It will be the first major retail restaurant at Grand Central Madison since the station opened.
Tracks will be the first of many new retail and dining options that will be available at Grand Central Madison.
