Woman critically injured in crash in Ozone Park

OZONE PARK, Queens (WABC) -- A woman was critically injured in a crash in Queens.

She was hit on Cross Bay Boulevard and Pitkin Avenue around 3:35 a.m. in Ozone Park.

The 55-year-old woman was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.

The driver stayed at the scene.

Investigators initially believed another vehicle struck the woman, but that was determined not to be the case.



The driver was issued two desk appearance tickets for driving without a license and was released pending a future court date.

He was not charged in connection with striking the woman.

The victim has not yet been identified.
