Woman shot multiple times outside Throggs Neck home; masked gunmen flee in SUV

Updated 19 minutes ago
A 34-year-old woman was shot multiple times outside a home in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx Monday night, and police are searching for two masked gunmen who fled the scene in an SUV.

According to investigators, the woman was standing outside a residence on Hollywood Avenue just before 10:10 p.m. when she was struck in the left arm and buttocks. She was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to survive.

Police said the suspects fled southbound on Hollywood Avenue in a gray SUV, possibly a Kia. One of the men was wearing a black Nike sweatshirt. No arrests have been made.

Detectives do not yet know what prompted the shooting and continue to investigate a possible motive.

At the scene, officers surrounded a vehicle parked outside the home. The driver's side door was left open as investigators examined what appeared to be bullet damage to the driver's side window.
