Jaysha Patel
Jaysha Patel joined the Eyewitness News team in May 2025. Previously, she served as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor for ABC7 in Los Angeles, where she covered the devastating wildfires that tore through the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, as well as campus protests at UCLA during the Israel-Hamas war. Before moving to Los Angeles, Jaysha reported from Mobile, Alabama-the birthplace of Mardi Gras. At NBC15, she covered hurricanes, tornadoes, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jaysha was part of the news team that won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence in 2020 and for Breaking News Coverage in 2021. She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. Jaysha is a proud Indian-American. Outside of work, she enjoys discovering new restaurants, watching baseball and Formula 1, and traveling around the world!
