Man struck and critically injured by hit-and-run driver in Queens

ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) -- A 44-year-old man was struck and critically injured in a hit and run in Queens early Tueasday.

The victim was crossing Roosevelt Avenue at 77th Street in Elmhurst just before 2 a.m. when he was hit by an eastbound car that did not stop.

The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, described as a gray Honda two-door sedan, fled the scene.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is active and ongoing.

It comes just two days after 75-year-old Be Tran was struck and killed in the Ridgewood section of Queens.
