Teen brothers stabbed, 1 fatally, during brawl in Lower Manhattan

CHINATOWN, Lower Manhattan (WABC) -- A teen has died after he and his brother were both stabbed in Lower Manhattan on Thanksgiving morning.

Officials say a brawl broke out at around 2 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Lafayette and White streets.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in the torso and was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.

He was identified Friday as 17-year-old Rocco Rodden.

His 19-year-old brother was also stabbed in the torso, and is stable at Bellevue Hospital.

Several men were detained at the scene by law enforcement.

On Friday, police said 19-year-old Gianluca Bordone was charged with manslaughter and felony assault.

St. Joseph Regional High School shared a photo of Rodden and released a statement offering thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
