Water advisories lifted for 60+ Suffolk County beaches

SUFFOLK COUNTY, Long Island (WABC) -- Water advisories have now been lifted for dozens of beaches on Long Island.

Two were shut down due to high levels of bacteria.

Suffolk County had issued advisory warnings for 60-plus beaches due to high levels of bacteria from recent stormwater runoff.

The advisory was issued by the Suffolk County Health Department.

The beaches covered by the advisory are located in areas that are heavily influenced by stormwater runoff.
