SEE IT: Amazing sunset lights up post-storm sky in NYC

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The New York City region was treated to a beautiful and brilliant post-storm sunset Tuesday evening.

The sunset time was 5:02 p.m., and that's when the sky lit up in a fiery deep red. It came as a delightful end to an otherwise dreary and rainy day.

Eyewitness News was rolling on our camera in Brooklyn (looking west just to the south of Lower Manhattan) and captured the magnificent sight. Watch a timelapse we created in the video player above.
