It appeared the driver of a red Ford Explorer plowed into a Nissan Rouge sending that vehicle slamming into a house.
Neighbors heard the crash and say the driver of the Rouge lives just a few doors from the accident scene.
"Very nice, she works from home. She has two kids, a daughter in high school and a daughter in the elementary school here, and I believe her niece lives with her as well," resident Pam Zeldin said.
A couple of teens were seen running from the Explorer but were later caught by police.
The air bags in the Rouge deployed and residents gathered around the car trying to help the victim.

"I heard my mom just run outside and then I saw 10 people, it was crazy," said a Teaneck resident named Jacob. "And then I saw my mom banging on the window, and then police started showing up."
Rescuers had to use the jaws of life to pull the victim out to perform CPR before she was rushed in an ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The speed limit in the area is 25 mph but some neighbors say it is not unusual to see motorists ignore the speed limit and stop signs.
"It's more, they're cutting through from Queen Anne Road to Palisade Avenue, so on the east, west they are speeding," one resident said.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is the lead investigative agency at the scene.
