90-year-old woman critically injured after being hit by livery cab in Manhattan; driver charged

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A 90-year-old woman was struck and critically wounded by a livery car on the Upper West Side.

The pedestrian was hit while crossing Amsterdam Avenue at West 74th Street at around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday.

She was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a Black Infiniti sedan.

The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.



The driver, 24-year-old Chen Wei of Brooklyn, stayed at the scene.

He was charged failure to a yield to a pedestrian
