Police say the man was going north in the southbound lane on East 94th Street in East Flatbush Saturday night.

Eyewitnesses describe hearing what they thought was a parade and a number of loud bangs. When they looked out the window, it was quite the opposite - a driver ping-ponging off parked cars and driving the wrong way. Shattered glass littered the street.
Police arrested the driver, Ryan Austin. Austin is now facing a number of criminal charges including driving while intoxicated, driving while impaired with alcohol, and reckless endangerment.
"My Jeep was right there," said Charley Grant.
Police say Austin was driving drunk as he barreled into car after car - reversing and then doing it again.
"There was a car making a turn coming this way and he crashed into it on the sidewalk," added Grant.

A group of neighbors did everything they could to stop Austin. They tried to punch their way through the driver's side window - some even threw bricks.
Police say six people suffered minor injuries.
Neighbors who spoke to Eyewitness News say they have no mercy for the driver.
"Good luck in jail, because you're going to be there awhile," said one neighbor.
Police have also charged Austin as an aggravated unlicensed operator and say he refused a breathalyzer. He has a Georgia address, so it is unclear why he was in town.

Police say none of the victims experienced severe injuries, but they were taken to Kings County Hospital.
