Both incidents happened Saturday night.
Officers say the first shooting happened during a memorial service at a park on Locust Hill Avenue.
An 18-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were shot at around 9 p.m.
The man is now in critical but stable condition.
About two hours later, two men, ages 41 and 42, and a 30-year-old woman were shot along School Street.
The woman and the 42-year-old man are in critical condition.
Despite initial reports, police say they cannot confirm the two incidents are linked.
So far, there have been no arrests.
