Car and MTA bus crash injuring several people in Red Hook

RED HOOK (WABC) -- A car struck an MTA bus causing it to crash into a building Wednesday evening, injuring several people in Brooklyn.

It happened at Coffey Street and Dwight Street in Red Hook.

The MTA says that around 5:50 p.m. a B61 bus, in service, was traveling on Dwight Street when the front of bus was struck by car driving on Coffey Street.

The bus then mounted the curb and hit a building. It also hit several parked vehicles.

Three people suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The other four people suffered minor injuries.

It's not clear what caused the accident at this time.
