Brooklyn Bridge van fire sends smoke billowing through air

A van hauling a food vendor cart caught on fire and sent smoke billowing through the air on the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday.

The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. in the left Brooklyn-bound lane.

Flames were placed under control in a half an hour.

No injuries were reported.

It is unclear what caused the fire.
