MONTROSE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Two schools in Westchester County have been placed on lockdown while authorities investigate a threat.

The schools are the Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School and Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose.

New York State police say a threat was made against the high school and is being investigated.

Police are on the scene and have secured all building entrances and blocked entrances and exits to the high school campus.

They are currently sweeping the campus with the canine unit due to the nature of the threat, the school district says.

Students are being dismissed from both schools, and all afterschool activities have been cancelled.
