Ryan Reynolds talks about new movie, new baby
Sandy Kenyon sat down with actor Ryan Reynolds, who stars in the new movie "Self/Less".

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Ryan Reynolds became a star on the big screen but it's his life as a dad that's made headlines recently.

For instance, when a photo of the actor and his infant daughter went viral.

Now, he's talking about that and his new movie.

If you had the chance to cheat death by placing yourself in a younger person's body, would you do it?

Now science can't accomplish this yet but what if someday that's possible? Those are just two of the many questions raised by the new movie opening tomorrow called "Self/Less".

Sir Ben Kingsley plays a real estate developer so rich he stays in Donald Trump's real apartment, but he's suffering from a deadly disease and facing death until he gets thrown a lifeline.

Potential fulfilled by placing his soul in a younger man's body, and really what man wouldn't want to wake-up as Ryan Reynolds?

Immortality has a price, of course, which only makes "Self/Less" that much more entertaining.

"I think there's a real cautionary tale in there which is not to take this life for granted in any way shape or form," said Reynolds.

His life has changed dramatically since he married Blake Lively in 2012, and she gave birth to their first child, a baby girl, last fall.

"You sit there and you say, 'I just can't believe this little person is a part of you and you see yourself in them and they see you," said Reynolds. "It's a really great thing. It's not something I was expecting to be this taken with."

The couple are raising their child in Westchester County.

"For me it's about having a family and raising a family near New York City. I love New York City, it's a place that has been one of my deepest loves my whole life," Reynolds said.

A recent photo of the star with his baby girl drew more than 300,000 'likes' on Instagram, but also plenty of complaints that he wasn't using the baby carrier correctly.

"I'm a first time dad. That certainly wasn't the first mistake I made, and it will not be the last," Ryan said. "So, it's a learning process for everybody and you just do the best you bloody well can and that's all you can ever ask for."

Ryan says that photo was taken the very first time he used the carrier and he has since learned how to use it correctly.

He was very good-natured about it, saying the controversy will not keep him from using social media in the future. Fatherhood is a work in progress for him and so many others.
