United Airlines flight to Newark diverted when passengers felt light-headed

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A flight from Munich to Newark was diverted Sunday after several passengers claimed they were feeling light-headed.

United Airlines Flight 31 landed at Heathrow Airport in London before emergency crews were brought on board to treat the passengers.

One person was taken off the plane.

There is no word yet on what may have caused the incident.

The flight didn't complete its planned trans-Atlantic trip, and the airline says travelers were given hotel rooms and meals because of the unexpected diversion to London.
