NEW YORK -- Food Network star Sandra Lee continues to recover after surgery following a complication from her double mastectomy, and she left the hospital Wednesday evening.

Lee likened her battle to a tennis match, and her team took to Facebook to proclaim game, set, match.

She's endured so much over the past few months, but after another successful surgery, Lee made a triumphant walk out of Roosevelt Hospital with longtime boyfriend Governor Andrew Cuomo by her side.

Armed with a contagious smile, Lee continues to exude strength and grace in the midst of adversity. Diagnosed with breast cancer, she underwent a double mastectomy just months ago. And if that wasn't enough, she went under the knife again to fight off a vicious infection.

Prior to her surgery, she posted the following message to her Facebook page, writing "Although this is not a game -- and not to diminish or disrespect this process -- I think about it like a tennis match, as tennis is my favorite sport. Right now, the ball is in my court, and it's time for a mean backhand."

Lee's team posted a picture of her post-op in her hospital room, adding she's doing incredibly well and back to herself, rearranging flowers, organizing seating for her visitors and making sure everyone takes time to eat. Most importantly, she's looking forward to going home.

In a Facebook post Monday, the "Semi-Homemade Cooking" star said, "I did my very best to avoid this (when I tell you I did everything, I mean everything - modern, Eastern and holistic) but infection is an incredible monster. I am a long way from where I was and a long way from where I need to be, but at this point I understand that right now I just need to complete this unexpected phase of a tough journey."

Lee also is a cookbook author and magazine publisher. She and Cuomo share a home in Westchester County.
