Average rent in New York City reaches new record

NEW YORK (WABC) -- For everyone who complains that the rent in Manhattan is too darn high, now there is proof to back up your rent rants.

Several studies out show the average rent in Manhattan ranges from $3,500 to $4,000 a month.

That's not much more than the median family income in New York City.
