KINGSBRIDGE, Bronx -- Police say a homeless man faces murder charges in the fatal stabbing of a McDonald's worker in the Bronx.

Rafael Gonzalez, 48, turned himself in to police Wednesday night. He faces murder and manslaughter charges, police said.

Police say 28-year-old Adam Garcia was stabbed multiple times in the torso around 4:30 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of a McDonald's on Broadway and West 236th Street. Police say it happened after he escorted the suspect out of the restaurant.

He managed to make it back into the restaurant and was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, but later died.

It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
