NEW YORK (WABC) -- A dog and her owner had a joyful reunion nearly three years after the dog, then just a puppy, was stolen from her backyard in the Bronx.

The white boxer mix named Rihanna was found last month, more than 100 miles away in South Jersey.

The Voorhees Animal Orphanage says two men brought her in saying she'd been dumped on a front lawn.

The shelter tracked down Rihanna's owner thanks to a microchip, and volunteers drove the dog back home.
