Suspect wanted for robbery on E train

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- Police are on the lookout for a man wanted in connection to an attempted robbery in Jamaica on Thursday.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on a Queens bound E train, the suspect got into a dispute with a 36-year-old man, slapped him and got into a struggle with him while attempting to steal his cell phone.

The victim managed to hold onto his phone while the suspect ran off the train at the Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue station.

The suspect is described as a male, 18 to 20 years old, 5'10" to 6'0", 160 lbs to 180 lbs and had his hair in an afro. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt, dark colored shorts and a black book bag.
