Flames tear through buses at bus depot in New Jersey

RIDGEFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) -- More than a dozen buses caught fire at a bus depot in New Jersey early Wednesday.

Flames tore through 14 private mini buses at Sphinx Transportation on Hendricks Causeway in Ridgefield just after 1:30 a.m.

Ten of the company's 40 buses were destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the bus company believes it was arson.

The manager says the buses had been cleaned and were ready to be sold to a buyer.
