WILLIAMSBRIDGE, Bronx (WABC) -- Friends and family gathered in the Bronx Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil to remember their loved one who was found shot and killed on the street.

26-year-old Margaritia Franco was shot in the head more than a week ago.

While the murderer was captured on surveillance video, police are still unable to track him down.

Her parents bleed tears over the same spot with their beautiful daughter was gunned down.

"I leave it all in God's hands. The man who took my daughter was a coward," said Jasmine Colon Franco, the victim's mother.

Margaritia was known on social media as Beauty is Marie.

It was 2 a.m. on April 2. She was walking on E. 214th St. in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx when she was shot in the head and killed.

"To the person's out there who know anything, or know who is responsible, we need information. It's not about snitching, it's about being righteous," said Francisco Franco, the victim's father.

"You want to be part of a gang? Protect your community, not hurt your community," Councilman Andy King said.

Family and activists marched through the violent streets calling for an end to such a heartbreaking bloodshed.

They released balloons for Marie then lifted up prayers to heaven.

Marie loved fashion and design. Her mother says she could sew anything. It's been nine days now and still there's no arrest.
