Fire at Brighton Beach apartment building leaves 3 hurt

BRIGHTON BEACH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A two-alarm fire broke out in the basement of an apartment building in Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn, injuring three.

Smoke spewed out of the basement of the Brightwaters Court building just before 6 a.m. Thursday.

One man sustained burns to the face and was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North.

Two others are also being treated for injuries.
