Woman has car stolen after accident in Queens
Dray Clark reports on a brazen carjacking in Queens.

OZONE PARK, Queens (WABC) -- Police are investigating a bizarre car robbery in Queens in which a 74-year-old woman was rear-ended, and then her SUV was stolen right in front of her.

The collision happened at 109th Avenue and 120th Street in Ozone Park.

Police are looking into the possibility that it was a staged crash, with the victim targeted because of her age.

The NYPD released video of two suspects in a white car rear-ending the victim.

During what was supposed to be an exchange of information, the male driver became combative and blocked the woman from writing down his license plate, police say.

Then a woman he was riding with jumped behind the wheel of his car.

The man pushed the 74-year-old woman away, jumped into her SUV and they both drove off, leaving the woman standing in the middle of the street.

Police did find the victim's vehicle, a 2017 Honda, the next day.

She told police she has no idea who the suspects are.

The NYPD issued the following descriptions:

The first individual is a light skinned male, slim build; last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

The second individual is a light skinned female, black hair in a bun; last seen wearing a light colored shirt and dark colored pants.

The vehicle is described as a white four door sedan.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
