BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- A three-alarm fire that burned through two homes in the Bronx Tuesday morning was caused by smoking.
According to investigating fore marshals "careless discard of smoking materials" caused the fire.
The fire broke out in the garage on the 1500 block of Bryant Avenue in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx just after 4 a.m.
Flames quickly spread to two adjacent homes. Several cars were also on fire. The fire is now under control.
One firefighter was injured.
Firefighters initially had low water pressure.
